What are your thoughts on the matter?
I myself don't have anything against it. If people are that way they just are. There's nothing you can really do about it. I know a few people who are gay at my school and they're made fun of for it almost everyday. It's not something that society accepts since we're made to believe it's sinful and you're going to hell for being that way.

Honestly? I think it's disgusting, and I don't believe they should be allowed to get married.

Homophobes are racists with religion.
Why not? Why do you care? How does two other people being happy hurt you?

Homophobes are racists with religion. Make no mistake, I'm not a homophobe. they don't scare me, they just piss me off. However, It's not that the Homosexuals in general that are open that bother me, it's the ones that flaunt it and blatantly show off their gayness in front of the whole world to make some kind of statement and draw attention to themselves and the 'cause' they're trying to build. There's two gay guys at my school in particular that I could show as a perfect example: Gay A: Everyone knows he's gay, but he acts fairly normal, and unless you knew him well or you went to my school (it's a small school) you probably wouldn't know he was gay at a glance, or by even talking to him. He doesn't brag about his sexuality, nor is he ashamed of it. Honestly, he's a genuinely nice guy, and that's cool with me. Gay B: Everyone knows he's gay, and just by looking at him, you KNOW he's a homosexual. this is a guy who wears girl pants one size smaller than he fits in, and wears a pink 'princess' shirt regularly, as well as showing off his feminine appearance to the point where you would not second guess it as a joke. the guy is a fucking Fairy, and he flaunts it. He eggs on everyone at school who would make the slightest comment to his appearance when it is blatantly obvious he's trying to draw a reaction out of people only to play the downtrodden victim discriminated for his sexuality. it's Faggots like that that I have a problem with. Now, TBH I've ran into a lot more Gay B's than I have Gay A's in my life, but that's just personal experience. Why not? Why do you care? How does two other people being happy hurt you? I'm not going to bother trying to push my religious beliefs on you since that won't get us anywhere. but Gay marriage has no place in the Church. Marriage was made for the union of a man and a woman, and for the purpose and potential of building a family and procreation. Homosexuals obviously cannot have kids the way they're supposed to be had, save for adoption. If you wanted a non-religious answer, if the premise and purpose of the human race is to propagate and progress through improving each generation, then homosexuality is redundant, don't you think?

Well if we make abortion illegal we'll need SOMEONE to adopt all of those extra bundles of joy.
And this whole "marriage is defined as being a man and woman" thing is bullshit. America was founded on the belief that you're equal...if you are a white male landowner. Should women not be allowed to vote because it was originally an exclusively male practice.
So should it be a law that you have to get married and have kids then?

Well if we make abortion illegal we'll need SOMEONE to adopt all of those extra bundles of joy. Yeah, because only homosexuals adopt kids... and the birth rate will fucking boom too, while we're at it. The latter I could see happening, but I think that there will be more careful measure taken as far as birth control goes if an abortion ban were set in place, so for all we know the B.R. could stay the same. either way, an different argument for a different thread. And this whole "marriage is defined as being a man and woman" thing is bullshit. America was founded on the belief that you're equal...if you are a white male landowner. Should women not be allowed to vote because it was originally an exclusively male practice. That's different. Voting for the leaders of our country is much more important and completely different from letting Gays exchange vows. So should it be a law that you have to get married and have kids then? Nobody's forcing anyone to get hitched or have kids, don't take my comment out of context. I'm saying that science supports the fact that homosexuality doesn't benefit society or the human race in any way.

There are kids in this country who go from foster home to foster home, no one ever adopts them and they lead a pretty shitty childhood.
Yea, it's different because it doesn't effect you in any way. But other than that "It's much more important." doesn't stand up. Much more important to whom? They want to get married, this is important to them. It doesn't hurt anyone in any way shape or form, why the fuck can they not get married?
Gluttony is a sin too, should we let fat people get married? Should we put fat people in jail? Being gay isn't a worse sin then talking back to your parents or not liking someone else.
Science also says creationism is bullshit.

Well first off my brother is homosexual, and has been for years. Weither he choose it at a certain age, or if he is born with it, is still up for real debate. But I'm not pro-gay, or anti-gay. I'm pretty much in the middle. I don't care what they do (kind of like couples who are in love and flaunt it) just don't do it around me. Even hetro couples like I said, who overly show they are in love, pisses me off just as much as two gay guys who do the same. It's the principle that if you are in love, please dear God keep me away. So like I said, not pro-gay, or anti-gay, just middle. But with my brother being as he is, I am pro-choice for what he decided, and I see this gay vs straight debate almost as useless as the black vs white debate of the 60's, only this time with sex-preference instead of skin color. Either way, pointless.

I know, but instead of changing rights now we're changing marriage. Either way, I aware of the seriousness of the first.
History repeats itself. World Wars 1 & 2, and now debates over equality.

Yeah, but Homosexuals didn't endure 300 years of slavery and discrimination, nor were they ever denied the right to vote or segregated. completely different arguments. homosexuality is a lifestyle, not embedded in your genes.

The core issues are yes, but on a grander scale yea me saying black vs white is the same as gays vs straights does seem ignorant.

Let me ask you a question. Do you feel sexually attracted to men? Don't get frisky and answer the question. I genuinely want to know. If you wanted to, could you find a guy sexually attractive?
